It was ninety degrees in the (not air-conditioned) sanctuary, so we were pretty happy when the forty-five minute ceremony was over. Seconds after this photo was taken, we were standing in the vestibule, so excited to be married that we kept trying to kiss and missing. Then we remembered to take off our wedding bands and see what each of us had chosen to have engraved on the other's ring. In a nice bit of symbolism that will madly confuse our grandchildren, we each, unbeknownest to the other, chose a particular number that we used as a code during our courtship. Fun stuff!
