Last Monday was a balmy, beautiful day. 65° on the 9th of November is unusual for Michigan. So of course we had to take the kids outside to play in the leaves.
We'd been out for a while when I realized that the leaf-covered yard and the four happily-playing children gave the perfect opportunity to take some pictures, so I ran in and grabbed the camera.
And then my sister and I had the task of trying to get the kids to sit STILL for the pictures. After more than three years of parenthood each, she and I are pretty good baby wranglers, but this task was a little much even for us.
Weirdly, the ONLY child who sat still (and clapped with joy the entire time, no less) through the whole thing was the nine-month old. I wouldn't believe it myself if I hadn't seen it.
But the proof is right here.

Arwen, thanks so much for sharing these pictures. I needed to see baby pictures today. I spent most of today so sick with hyperemesis I couldn't get out of bed, and once I could I could barely care for my three precious ones.
I needed a visible reminder of what and who I'm fighting for. Can't wait to see this baby play in leaves with his or her siblings and clap. :-)
God bless.

Aww, look at those cuties! And bare feet in November! It took until October for me to convince my boys that it really was necessary to wear shoes outdoors again. What's your younger nephew's name again? How adorable!

That second to last one is excellent. You're getting quite handy with that camera of yours.

They are all so cute but especially that clapping baby. Love the action shot second to last.
Cin, praying that God's strength will see you through.

Adorable! And Blaise clearly takes his clapping VERY SERIOUSLY. He couldn't crawl around, Arwen. He had CLAPPING TO DO.

So precious! I feel my biological clock ticking even harder now. I have a 7 yr old son and have been wanting to have more children for some time now but waiting to get remarried first. Thanks for sharing!

Your kids (and your nephews) are just adorable. And I love that first picture; there is nothing like a happy baby:)
