So, it turns out that if you're planning on spending a weekend ninety miles from home ten days before your due date, you should check with your placenta ahead of time and make sure it's not planning on partially abrupting in the middle of the night, thereby freaking you the heck out and jumpstarting your labor, giving you no chance to drive home and give birth where you'd planned.
We feel pretty lucky that everything went smoothly in spite of it all. And we know we are unbelieveably blessed to be the parents of this beautiful little girl. She's been a long time coming.
