I promised belly photos, I deliver belly photos. The one on the right is at sixteen weeks; the one on the left is twelve weeks, for purposes of comparison.
My first thought when I uploaded the sixteen week photos was that it looks like I'm just failing to stand up straight. Not pregnant, just a little paunchy with very bad posture. But that's not it, I promise! I was standing up perfectly straight. I've actually been working hard on my posture because I don't want to suffer from back pain any more than is absolutely necessary.
By the way, for those of you who asked on the last post - no, I don't wear the same outfit every day. I just thought it would be cool to take the pictures in the same outfit for as long as possible, so it would be easier to observe the changes. The shirt is obviously not going to make the stretch, but it's just a white tank top, and can be replaced with another, larger white tank top. Also, yes, (and I admit to having been a tiny bit insulted by this question, although I'm guessing it was a joke) I wash the outfit.
None of my non-pajama-type clothes really fit anymore. I can still wear my jeans if I loop a ponytail holder through the buttonhole, but I've got very few shirts long enough to cover that to my satisfaction. Today I finally dragged myself to Target and picked up some t-shirts and a sort of boho-looking cotton skirt that is not maternity, but promises to stretch beautifully as my belly grows. I'm in a sort of in-between time so I don't want to buy a lot of stuff yet. I'll get some real shopping in when I'm bigger.
In other news, I realized that I haven't bought a pair of shoes in months. Since November, according to the Zappos.com email I dredged up in my Gmail account, when I ordered these lovely shoes (in a darker blue color that is no longer available, and also I got them on sale, ha!). November to May is six months, which I'm sure is some kind of record for me. Bryan was very proud when I told him. (I don't think the fact that I spent three of those six months in first-trimester discomfort should in any way diminish the credit I get for this.) I'm thinking a trip to DSW is in order soon, though.
Oooh. Naptime.

Aww you are sooo cute! Geez woman. I already am bigger than you at 10 weeks. Must be all the snacking and bloating. Heh. Take care!
((hugs))

I'm so happy you are doing well and feeling better! I'm sure you have heard this, but, when buying new shoes, keep in mind that your feet may swell and also may permanantly spread. That's a great case to buy new shoes, of course, but it would be frustrating to buy some you love now and not be able to wear them in two months. Best wishes!

It's funny you were talking about your clothes here - I was wondering what would happen when you outgrow this outfit?

I have a couple comfy outfits I wear over and over, but wash them of course. I'm sure whoever wrote it was joking.
It looks like the baby is getting comfortable and growing nicely. Are you feeling better now? I hope most of the nausea has gone away and the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.
Take care and will keep you in my prayers.

Cute belly! I love Zappos.com because they have free shipping there and back, and because they have such an excellent selection. Not to mention the customer reviews, which I find invaluable.
If you have back pain, consider chiropractic. I know a lot of people have a negative perception of it, but I've found it really helps my back and I know of a lot of pregnant ladies who swear by it.

Grow Belly! Grow! This is such an exciting time of pregnancy when you finally start feeling better and looking pregnant!
For what it's worth, I LIVED in my jammies during my pregnancy. If I was home, I was in jammies...and usually the same ones.
Have fun shoe shopping! :)

Cute pictures! And glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I also had horrible morning sickness first trimester but after that it was smoooooth sailing...I hope your pregnancy goes like that as well.
Thanks for your great comments on my site.

Been a while since I left a comment, and just wanted you to know that I'm keeping you and your baby in my prayers. I, too, suffered notoriously thru 3 pregnancies with non-stop morning sickness and fatique, so I empathize! (But I was so much younger then! HA! It really will be a memory one day.) My oldest son graduates high school this week! And I pray that one day he marries a woman like yourself--dedicated to Christ and the teachings of His Church.
Peace, Pat

Great pics - love that you're moving right along. Other people's pregnancies always seem to zip along quite quickly for a while, though one's own pregnancy goes as slow as molasses during the days and weeks, but as fast as light speed over the months. At the same time.

LOVE the idea of shooting your preg-progression pix that way, cute and clever girl. I may just be sending some people over from my latest blog, Picture This at clubMom (which is where I found you a la Amalah) when I get to talkin' about pix of the "bump".
Glad to see your poochin' out in a baby sort of way. That's the best kind of pooch.
